Your role

Our team is looking for an amazing Inside Sales Representative to join our team. You will be working closely with commercial colleagues and the global marketing team to develop and execute tactics and programs to source new sales opportunities. The position is an internal sales position and requires minimal / no travel. With Nostos' continued growth, this position is an excellent opportunity to join an international, dynamic team and grow into other sales roles. 


Main activities and responsibilities

  • Develops a strong understanding of Nostos’ technology and products and continues learning as Nostos’ product portfolio evolve.

  • Establishes and executes strategies for obtaining new customers (scope is Nostos Genomics EU sales)

  • Sourcing new sales opportunities through inbound lead follow-up and outbound cold calls and emails

  • Understanding customer needs and requirements

  • Routing qualified opportunities to the appropriate sales executives for further development and closure

  • Grow the business in a sustainable and ethical manner

  • Maintain relationships with existing customers to ensure customer satisfaction. 

We foster a flexible work environment and encourage applications from candidates that are either based in Berlin or would work remotely with a willingness to travel to Berlin occasionally.

Job requirements

  • Ideally, a genetics foundation to allow for a better understanding of the broad variety of customer applications in order to uncover sales potential

  • Experience with strategic sales skills with a proven ability to develop and grow key accounts is preferred

  • Preferred knowledge of Next Generation Sequencing methods.

  • 2+ years of experience in a (tele)sales role (ideally Life Science laboratory), or a related field with customer-facing experience

  • Conducts presentations effectively, professionally and comfortably to customers/peers/management.

  • Self-motivated to continue learning beyond initial onboarding within the role.

  • A demonstrated desire to be an effective collaborator within a team selling environment and a willingness to provide and seek feedback from teammates.

  • Strong desire to “win” and build customer relationships.

  • Approaches tasks with urgency. Willingness to plan, prioritize, and manage time effectively.

  • Full fluency in English, written and verbally.
