Your role

The People & Talent Manager will support the Senior Leadership team through an exciting growth period and advise on all things People related. Reporting to the COO, the People & Talent Manager will have responsibility for the full employee life cycle. This will include:

  • Recruitment
  • Onboarding
  • Learning & Development
  • Employee Relations
  • Employee engagement & Communication
  • Succession planning, performance management and organisational design

The ideal candidate will have worked in a start-up organisation (ideally technology/digital) and helped them scale. This is a unique opportunity in an impactful, fast-growing start-up that comes with a lot of flexibility and ownership in terms of processes.

  

Main activities and responsibilities: 

  • Manage full-cycle recruiting for both technical and non-technical roles, from talent sourcing to final round decision-making

  • Refine processes for talent acquisition, including sourcing, screening, tracking, closing, and communication techniques for successful hiring and excellent candidate experience

  • Develop a deep understanding of Nostos’ culture, product, strategic direction and use this knowledge to craft compelling messaging for potential candidates

  • Lead Talent Acquisition team projects, such as building out new roles or exploring new ways to reach candidates and strengthen diversity

  • You coordinate the onboarding and offboarding processes with the specialist departments

  • You lead projects to increase and maintain a great culture in a remote-first hybrid environment 

  • Maintain reporting metrics to measure against business hiring goals, overall team performance, diversity, and develop new metrics as needed

  • Manage partnerships with agencies, professional organizations, and talent team-specific vendors

  • Create and manage hiring plans together with team leads

We foster a flexible work environment and encourage applications from candidates that are either based in Berlin or would work remotely with a willingness to travel to Berlin once a quarter.

Job requirements

  • 3+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience, including sourcing, contacting prospective candidates, and interviewing, evaluating agencies and tools

  • Experience in a rapidly-scaling environment is preferred, but not required

  • Exceptional professionalism, communication, and interpersonal skills with a knack for creating order out of chaos.

  • Proactive and persistent attitude with the ability to work independently with fellow teammates based in different time zones.

  • Experience using and optimizing a modern ATS

  • English Fluent as our universal company language
